   If you don;t mind the cattle car stearage go to Korean Air’s website. We fly to Japan often and when money is tight they are generally the cheapest. Beware of the “babimba” (not sure of the spelling).

   I hate to talk about bad timing, but Japan has just entered school holidays, plus its summer school holidays. And obon is coming up. Plane tickets have sky rocketed through the roof. I had to buy a ticket for someone visiting me here in Japan, and its 3 times the amount it would cost if I bought it 5 months ago.
   I dont know if you will find a cheap ticket. Try booking online. Where are you from? Where in Japan do you need to go? These are all factors. I hope you can find a cheaper ticket at this hard time, best of luck, and sorry for your loss.

   Call the airline companies and ask for a “bereavement fare”. This is a heavily discounted ticket for people in your situation. Best of luck and sorry for your loss.
